In partnership with Toyota, the foundation – founded by rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z and his mother Gloria – will provide an opportunity for selected students to meet with college admissions counselors, past Shawn Carter Foundation scholars and student brand ambassadors at various institutions, Black Enterprise reported. The seven-day tour is scheduled to make stops at HBCUs along the east coast between Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, D.C.

More than 125 high schools in New York and New Jersey will also work with the Shawn Carter Foundation to offer college preparation workshops to students. Administrators at the partner schools will select students this fall to participate in weekend sessions that cover ACT/SAT prep, dressing for success, essay writing, interview skills and more.
