Lebanon Valley College Face Steep Cuts

by

Lebanon Valley College (LVC), located in Pennsylvania has announced that it will eliminate faculty positions and program majors after its board of trustees called for a $1.6 million cut to academic funding.

The cuts would discontinue French, German, philosophy and religion majors in addition to reorganizing other majors.

As part of the budget-cuts, LVS will offer retirement incentives and substitute several adjunct professors with full-time faculty in efforts to expand programs, like the health sciences.

The task force behind the board’s recommendations will create a final report to present to LVC’s faculty for a vote in November and to the full board of trustees in February, WGAL News 8 reported.
